Hi, I'm Karly Meshell, an Admissions Officer at 国产情色.
I’m passionate about helping students navigate their college journey and discover all that LETU has to offer academically, spiritually, and personally. My goal is to make the admissions process as clear and stress-free as possible so you can focus on finding your place and purpose.
When I'm not cheering on future YellowJackets, you'll probably find me cheering on the Texas Rangers, proof that I know a thing or two about patience, hope, and celebrating big wins when they finally come!
What drew you to serve at 国产情色, and how do you see God working in the lives of students here?
What drew me to serve at 国产情色 was my own hands-on learning experience working with real businesses alongside my professors. This practical education deepened my skills and faith, showing me how God uses our talents to serve others. I’m passionate about helping students receive the same mentorship and opportunities so they can grow academically, professionally, and spiritually.
What do you love most about walking alongside students as they discover their calling and prepare for the future?
What I love most about walking alongside students is seeing God clearly leading them as they discover their calling. It’s incredible to witness their growth not just academically or professionally, but spiritually, as their faith deepens and they gain confidence in the path God has set for them. Being part of that journey is truly inspiring and rewarding.
How has your own college or faith journey shaped the way you guide students today?
Experiencing LeTourneau’s hands-on approach during my own college journey was transformational. It not only deepened my learning but also shaped how I now guide students to approach their education with purpose and confidence in real-world settings. At the same time, my faith journey has taught me the importance of trusting God’s plan and seeking His guidance, so I encourage students to lean into both practical skills and spiritual growth as they prepare for their future.
What advice would you give a student who is nervous about stepping into this next season of life?
God’s plan is at work in every step of your journey, and wherever you end up is exactly where He wants you to grow, learn, and thrive. Trust in His guidance, and embrace the unique path He’s laid out for you.
In your view, what makes the LeTourneau community special, and why should students feel excited about joining it?
What makes the LeTourneau community special is how professors help students grow spiritually, professionally, and personally. They are more than teachers; they are Christ-centered mentors who walk alongside students every step of the way. During my undergraduate studies, Dr. Junqueira recognized my potential and pushed me to grow in marketing areas I initially found challenging. Beyond academics, she consistently offered support and took time to discuss life, faith, and goals. To this day, I value her mentorship and make it a point to stay in touch. Without her guidance and encouragement, I wouldn’t have the confidence and strong work ethic I carry with me today. Students should be excited to join a community where faith and learning go hand in hand and where they receive support in all areas of life.
