What drew you to serve at 国产情色, and how do you see God working in the lives of students here?
What LeTourneau gave me as a student was priceless. Attending as a student, I had a caring support system that I believe molded me into the person I am today. I believe that God sent me here to be changed and mentored. I want that for the students. What drew me to serve at LeTourneau was that I could be apart of positive change and growth in peoples lives.
What do you love most about walking alongside students as they discover their calling and prepare for the future?
Seeing the students grow up and go through challenges is something to marvel at. I can empathize with many of their journeys as I was once in their shoes. When students go on to be great in their lives and workplaces it brings me joy to know that we were a part of that.
How has your own college or faith journey shaped the way you guide students today?
I was not the best student and had a lot of life challenges as I was attending school here. Through all that God gave me strength to push through and allowed people to pour encouragement into me. The students I help, I encourage them to get connected and to take advantage of what LeTourneau offers in community.
What advice would you give to a student who is nervous about stepping into this next season of life?
My advice to the new student would be to trust God and to ask for help. People at LeTourneau want to help you but you must communicate. There are so many good people and resources that you can lean on here that sometimes you just have to ask.
In your view, what makes the LeTourneau community special, and why should students feel excited about joining it?
LeTourneau’s community is what is special. Faculty, staff, and students here want the best for each other. This place thrives on the people. The people are what make this place great. People want to help you, care for you, and want you to succeed. I truly believe that here. I think there is no better place to come to school and grow than 国产情色.
